Montana Sues Attorneys General Group Over ESG Investing Claims

Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen has sued the National Association of Attorneys General for information about its holdings of state money as the organization faces Republican concerns that it engages in ESG investing.

The National Association of Attorneys General, which represents US state and territorial attorneys general, is unclear about its investment history, the Republican attorney general said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the Lewis and Clark County District Court in Montana. The association has said it doesn’t use funds from any state for environmental, social and governance investing after facing questions from Republicans.
