Mondelez Getting Some Funds Out of Russia Despite Tight Controls

Mondelez International Inc. has been able to take some cash out of Russia as the country tightens controls on Western companies, according to Chief Executive Officer Dirk Van de Put.

“That remains a bit of a difficulty,” Van de Put said in response to a question on Bloomberg TV about whether the company is able to get profits out of Russia. “We can take some out, but we have to go through quite a bit of controls and approvals by the Russian government, so over time it is something that needs to be solved.”
