Mondelez Faces Boycott in Nordic Region Over Russian Business

Mondelez International Inc. faces a growing boycott of its products by Nordic companies after Ukraine blacklisted the snack food giant over its continued business in Russia.

Norwegian labor and employer lobbies asked the government for a meeting on Monday to clarify the situation after a number of companies in the Nordic country halted sales of the Mondelez-owned Freia brand of confectionery, newswire NTB reported. Airlines SAS AB and Norwegian Air, and Swedish rail company, SJ, are among those that have also joined the boycott of Mondelez’s Swedish snack brand, Marabou.
