Mizuho Taps Ex-Credit Suisse Banker for Credit Role (Correct)

Mizuho Financial Group Inc. appointed former Credit Suisse Group AG banker Ryan Atkinson as chief credit officer in the Americas.

Atkinson, who was previously head of credit risk of the investment bank at the Swiss lender, has already joined the Japanese bank and is reporting to Tim Healey, chief risk officer in New York.

Yuichiro Takagi, a Mizuho spokesman in Tokyo, confirmed Atkinson’s appointment.

Atkinson was among senior Credit Suisse bankers who left following a sweeping overhaul of its hedge fund business that was at the center of Archegos Capital Management blow up, taking a $4.7 billion hit. Other ...
