McKesson Pharmaceutical Investors Reject Abortion Risk Report

McKesson Corp. investors voted against a shareholder proposal calling on the pharmaceutical company to disclose any risk posed by state laws limiting abortion access, according to a securities filing published Friday.

The proposal, presented by non-profit Rhia Ventures at the company’s annual meeting on Wednesday, asked for a report detailing any strategies that the company is taking to mitigate the risk abortion restrictions could have on its retention and recruitment.

“Employers, as well as employees, bear the cost of restricted access to reproductive health care,” the proposal said.
