Mars Wrigley Confectionery US LLC sued Advantage Sales & Marketing LLC, claiming the wholesale broker is breaching a noncompete provision in their “longstanding, critically important” contracts.
The heavily redacted lawsuit, made public Wednesday, accuses Advantage of doing business with a “well-recognized” Mars Wrigley rival, in violation of a clause in their agreements giving the candy manufacturer a veto over such arrangements.
