Republican attorneys general in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi have brought their own legal challenge to the SEC’s new climate reporting rules after 10 other states filed a lawsuit contesting the regulations earlier this week.
The case against the Securities and Exchange Commission from attorneys general Liz Murrill of Louisiana, Ken Paxton of Texas and Lynn Fitch of Mississippi was filed Thursday in the New Orleans-based US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Murrill’s office announced Friday.
