Lockheed Martin, Loews Unit Settle Toxic Chemicals Coverage Row

Lockheed Martin Corp. and a Loews Corp. insurance unit have agreed to settle a dispute over coverage for litigation related to the alleged discharge of toxic chemicals from a Florida plant by the defense contractor’s predecessors.

The US District Court for the District of Maryland dismissed the dispute in a Tuesday order, writing that Lockheed and Continental Casualty Co. had advised the court of a settlement.
