Latin America Urged to Step Up Lithium Ties by UN’s ECLAC (1)

Latin American nations should step up cooperation efforts with regards to lithium and the electric-vehicle supply chain, according to the UN’s Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Countries in the region already are involved in a type of technical forum for lithium, with the support of ECLAC, to exchange knowledge and experiences, Jeannette Sanchez, the commission’s head of natural resources, told an event in Santiago, Chile, on Thursday. Another example of collaboration is Argentina working with Bolivia on brine evaporation techniques.
