Justices Steer Clear of Antitrust Fight Between Jockeys, Track

The US Supreme Court declined Monday to consider reinstating a $1.2 million damages award against a group of Puerto Rican jockeys who engineered a three-day strike at the island’s only racetrack in 2016.

The justices said they won’t review a decision by the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, which overturned a ruling in favor of the track owner, Camarero Racetrack Corp., and an affiliated horseracing association, the Confederación Hípica de Puerto Rico Inc.
