JP Morgan displaced Deutsche Bank and became one of the top three underwriters of global green bonds during the past month. Total issuance in the market fell 8.6% year-to-date compared with the same period last year.
- Issuers sold $116 billion of bonds through March vs. $126.9 billion a year ago, according to data compiled by Bloomberg League Tables
- JP Morgan’s market share rose to 4.28%, overtaking Deutsche Bank, which captured 3.47%; BNP Paribas remained the top manager with market share of 4.46%
- Canada was the biggest issuer in March, at $3.97 billion
