JetBlue Joins Other Airlines in Reworking Diversity Language

JetBlue Airways Corp. is the latest airline to significantly pare back and change how it talks about diversity in its annual report to investors.

The airline had almost no references to “diversity” or a “diverse” workforce in its 10-K report to investors Friday. Its report last year had over a dozen.

The change comes as companies are broadly shifting how they present their diversity initiatives amid conservative attacks, a trend that is gathering momentum following President Donald Trump’s efforts to curb what his administration describes as illegal corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
