A shareholder activism conference is an unusual venue for a presidential candidate.

But the recent Manhattan event was just another campaign stop for Jason Palmer, an entrepreneur and tech investor who grabbed headlines for recently beating presumptive Democratic nominee President Joe Biden in the caucus for island territory American Samoa.

While former Republican presidential candidates Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy focused their now-defunct campaigns in part on disparaging a corporate focus on environmental, social and governance efforts as “woke capitalism,” Palmer has been pushing the opposite message.
