Jamestown Fund Sued by Investor on Inflated Property Value Claim

Jamestown LP affiliates shortchanged a commercial real estate investor by demanding a $10 million when they knew soaring interest rates were set to tank property values, according to an unsealed lawsuit.

Schulz Group GmbH is suing Jamestown Premier Property Fund LP and its general partner entity over the December 2022 capital call, which allegedly required the German family office to double the size of its June 2021 subscription with the investment trust. The request forced Schulz Group into a “Hobson’s choice” between overpaying to invest more or facing potential legal claims, according to the court filing made public Monday.
