IPG Says It Has No Abortion Data Risk As Sought by Investor (1)

Advertising giant Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. has received a proposal from shareholder advocacy group Open MIC describing potential risks its subsidiary Acxiom might face since Roe v Wade was overturned last year.

The shareholder advocacy group said Thursday that the overturning of Roe in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization raises concerns about law enforcement agencies requesting sensitive personal information from database companies like Acxiom to use in abortion-related prosecutions. It called for more transparency on Acxiom’s data collection practices.
