Shareholder activist groups on Thursday sent a letter to the SEC asking the regulator to require companies to divulge more workforce information, known as human capital reporting, “as soon as possible.”
The letter—led by Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund alongside Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs and groups like Public Citizen, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility and Oxfam America—urges the Securities and Exchange Commission to move faster on a planned update to an existing human capital disclosure rule.
