Ignoring ESG Risk Blinds Investors, Minnesota AG Tells House (1)

Considering environmental, social and governance factors in investment decisions is “nothing more than looking clear eyed at risk and opportunities,” Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison told the House Financial Services Committee.

The Democratic attorney general and former six-term congressman testified Wednesday, alongside several ESG critics, during the first of several hearings that Chairman Patrick McHenry (R-N.C) has scheduled for the committee’s “ESG month.”
