HPE’s $14 Billion Deal for Juniper Draws Shareholder Challenge

A Juniper Networks Inc. investor sued Wednesday to halt a shareholder vote on its $14 billion sale to Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. until more information about the deal is made public.

The proposed class action seeks an injunction blocking the April 2 vote pending supplemental disclosures about the process leading up to the transaction announced in January, especially about competing bids. The price of $40 a share appears too low, although Juniper CEO Rami Rahim may have had other reasons for favoring the transaction, the lawsuit says.
