Homebuilder Toll Brothers Faces OSHA Fine After Fatal Fall

National homebuilder Toll Brothers Inc. of Horsham, Pa., faces a $74,217 federal fine for failing to provide adequate fall protection, which ultimately led to the death of a carpenter, OSHA announced.

Also cited with Toll was its subcontractor at the homesite, CLF Construction Inc. of Philadelphia. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration proposed a $170,560 penalty against CLF.

CLF couldn’t be reached to discuss the allegations and if it would appeal the citations. Toll didn’t respond to a request for comment.
