Home Depot’s Decker Moves Up to CEO as Menear Stays On as Chair

Home Depot Inc. tapped 22-year veteran Ted Decker to become the home-improvement retailer’s next chief executive officer, starting March 1.

Decker, 58, replaces Craig Menear, who will continue to serve as chairman, the company said in a statement. Menear, 64, has been at the helm of Home Depot since November 2014. Decker has been the Atlanta-based company’s chief operating officer since October 2020.
