The number of Black first-year students at Harvard Law School more than doubled this academic year to 50, the joint-highest enrollment in recent years after 2024’s dip to just 19.
The share of Black first-year law students this year is 8.6%, according to data released Monday by the American Bar Association. The group tracks various information, such as race, number of applications and the share receiving grants and scholarships. In 2022, the school also enrolled 50 Black first years, ABA data show, equal to 8.8% of the total class.
