Guess Board Sued by Fund Over Founder’s ‘Personal Harem’ (1)

A pension fund sued the board of Guess Inc., claiming its members have protected co-founder Paul Marciano and left him in a position to abuse the fashion company’s models despite serious sexual misconduct allegations made by supermodel Kate Upton and others.

The lawsuit, made public late Thursday, accuses the directors of standing aside for years while Marciano “treated the company’s models as his personal harem,” including by forcing them to engage in “nonconsensual acts,” even though they knew or suspected he was engaged in “sustained, despicable, and abusive” behaviors.
