Grifols Names CEO, Family Members Leave Top Executive Roles (1)

Grifols SA’s board has agreed to name a new chief executive officer while two members of the founding family will step down from their executive roles, after corporate governance at the Spanish blood plasma company came under scrutiny following a short-seller report last month.

Nacho Abia, who was most recently executive officer at Olympus Corporation, will take over as CEO on April 1, Grifols said in a regulatory filing Monday. Raimon Grifols will step down as chief corporate officer and Victor Grifols Deu will leave his position as chief operating officer, although both will retain their board seats. ...
