Google, Apple, Roblox Shed Mom’s Video Game Addiction Claims (1)

A mother’s claims that Google LLC, Apple Inc., Roblox Corp., and others designed and marketed video games to children without warning about their addictive properties were dismissed by a federal court.

The complaint against Google and Apple was too long and incomprehensible, Judge April M. Perry said Wednesday for the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Dismissal of the claims against Roblox was required under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and the First Amendment, she also said in a separate opinion.
