Goldman Philanthropy Boss Says It’s ‘Tough Time’ for Nonprofits

The head of Goldman Sachs Group Inc.‘s charitable arm has warned of the challenges the philanthropic world is facing from US President Donald Trump‘s efforts to curb programs that don’t align with his policies.

“It’s a tough time,” Asahi Pompey, the Wall Street bank’s global head of corporate engagement and president of the Goldman Sachs Foundation, said at Bloomberg’s Women, Money & Power summit in London on Wednesday. “And anyone who says otherwise is just not seeing the reality on the ground.”
