Glencore Appoints Former Anglo CEO Cynthia Carroll to Its Board

Glencore Plc, the world’s biggest commodity trader, has appointed former Anglo American Plc Chief Executive Officer Cynthia Carroll to its board.

Carroll was Anglo American’s first female CEO until she left in 2013. Since then she has worked as an adviser to Indian billionaire Anil Agarwal’s Vedanta and held board roles at several companies including Hitachi Ltd. She will join the board immediately, Glencore said in a statement Tuesday.
