FTX Claim Fight Yields Novel Win for Attestor Over Silver Point

Attestor Value Master Fund LP prevailed Friday in its court fight with a Silver Point Capital LP affiliate over the busted sale of an FTX crypto creditor claim.

A Delaware judge threw out the lawsuit, which said an affiliate of Attestor poached Silver Point’s deal to buy the $10.5 million face-value claim from FPG Inc. for pennies on the dollar. No part of the original transaction between FPG and Silver Point, the alleged scheme to meddle in it, or the claim’s subsequent sale had any significant link to Delaware, the judge said.
