Former HBO General Counsel Jumps to Spotify

Spotify Technology SA, the fast-growing podcasting and streaming audio platform, has recruited Eve Konstan as its new general counsel.

A Spotify spokesman confirmed Konstan’s hire to Bloomberg Law. She takes over from Horacio Gutierrez, a longtime in-house lawyer at Microsoft Corp. who joined Spotify as general counsel in 2016.

Gutierrez, who was promoted to chief legal officer and head of global affairs at Spotify in November, wrote Monday on his LinkedIn profile that Konstan’s “extensive experience in the media industry and her proven leadership skills will be a great asset” to the Stockholm, Sweden-based media company.
