FCC’s Carr Says ABC License Review Tied to Discrimination (2)

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr justified the agency’s move this week to call for an early review of ABC’s broadcast licenses, saying that parent company Walt Disney Co. is violating policies on discrimination.

Disney “created racially segregated spaces,” at the company, Carr told journalists at a press conference after a public meeting.

On Tuesday, the FCC directed eight Disney-owned stations to file license renewals by May 28, at least two years earlier than otherwise required.
