FaZe Clan, Top eSports Team, Sued Over Seat by Would-Be Director

FaZe Clan Inc., an eSports team made up of videogame professionals who compete before millions, was hit with a pair of Delaware Chancery Court lawsuits Sept. 9.

FaZe was founded as a YouTube “gaming clan” in 2010, before the explosive growth of eSports over the past decade made it a billion-dollar business. The team’s stars are paid by sponsors like Nissan to play Call of Duty, FIFA, Fortnite, and other games on Alphabet Inc.’s YouTube and Amazon Inc.’s Twitch, where they operate some of the most popular accounts.
