Facebook Inc. should hire a new chief executive officer and get rid of stock-based compensation, according to the company’s former chief security officer.
Breaking up Facebook into smaller parts, as some detractors have proposed, would help address competitive issues but won’t fix the underlying cultural flaws that led to concerns about disinformation and privacy, Alex Stamos, now a professor at Stanford University, told the Collision technology conference in Toronto Tuesday.
