Facebook Records Suit Over FTC Fine Will Await Ad Stats Ruling

The judge hearing Rhode Island’s lawsuit over Facebook Inc.'s $5 billion fine from the Federal Trade Commission—the agency’s largest ever—said he’d hold off on a ruling until the Delaware Supreme Court decides an unrelated records case involving the social media giant.

“I expect the Supreme Court will offer guidance that may be useful to me,” Vice Chancellor Joseph R. Slights III wrote in a letter to counsel Thursday. “In my view, both the parties and the court will benefit from this modest delay.”
