Ex-ComEd CEO Sentenced to Two Years in Book-Cooking Scheme (1)

The ex-CEO of Commonwealth Edison and Exelon Utilities, Anne Pramaggiore, was sentenced to two years in prison Monday for her role in a scheme to influence former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan (D).

Judge Manish Shah also imposed a $750,000 fine.

Pramaggiore’s position at the top of ComEd meant she could have put the brakes on the conspiracy, Shah said.
