Large companies globally are disclosing sustainability issues in more detail, and they increasingly use standards underpinning the European Union’s mandatory reporting rules that have started to take effect this year, according to a new report.
Some 98% of businesses surveyed in 22 different countries reported in detail about issues such as carbon emissions and human rights in 2022, up from 91% in 2019, according to the report released Thursday by three accounting organizations.
