ESG DAILY: Coal Faces Terminal Decline as Solar Cost Cheapens

The fuel that was once the staple of utilities will probably never return to pre-pandemic levels of demand. By 2040, coal’s share of the energy mix will fall below 20% for the first time since the industrial revolution, the International Energy Agency said.
