EEOC Sues Pharmacy Over Hemophilia Prescription Refill Mandate

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued a Maryland-based pharmacy for allegedly requiring employees with hemophilia to fill their costly prescriptions through the company.

The agency, suing on behalf of Daniel Reilly and three other Factor One Source Pharmacy LLC employees, say the plaintiffs were hired because of their family history of hemophilia and then discharged after refusing to change their prescription as their employer requested, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Colorado.
