A pension fund suing KKR & Co. over a $500 million payout tied to its 2021 restructuring moved to disqualify the presiding judge Thursday, an unusual maneuver that echoes Elon Musk’s successful gambit last month.

The filing in Delaware’s Chancery Court seeks to remove Vice Chancellor Bonnie W. David from a shareholder case challenging the private equity giant’s conversion from an umbrella partnership to an ordinary corporation.
