Dropbox Founder Bids to Join Adviser’s Court Fight With JPMorgan

Dropbox Inc. co-founder Arash Ferdowsi moved Monday to unseal confidential filings linked to litigation between JPMorgan & Co. and a former First Republic Bank adviser who allegedly cost Ferdowsi $225 million.

Ferdowsi is challenging the confidentiality of a dozen court filings submitted by the adviser, Arif Ahmed, whose lawsuit says the financial services giant wrongly stopped covering legal fees connected to conduct “within the scope of his employment.” JPMorgan acquired most of First Republic’s assets from regulators in 2023, following the crisis triggered by the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
