Dollar General Cuts ‘Diverse’ Worker Growth From Its Priorities

Dollar General Corp. has stopped telling shareholders it’s investing in “diverse teams” of employees as part of its priorities.

The convenience store chain—joining a corporate movement to drop or downplay diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives under Trump administration pressure—removed language promoting its efforts to foster diverse teams from its 10-K annual report filed Friday. It had previously discussed prioritizing diverse workers in its annual reports.

“Investing in our diverse teams through development, empowerment and inclusion” is one of Dollar General’s “long-term operating priorities,” the company said in its 10-Ks from 2021 to 2024.
