Desktop Metal’s $183 Million Sale to Nano Draws Court Challenge

Desktop Metal Inc.'s leaders pushed the 3D printing company into an underpriced merger with rival Nano Dimension Ltd. after panicking over a short-term drop in its stock price, according to an unsealed lawsuit.

A shareholder cashed out in the deal is suing Desktop’s co-founder and another former executive, saying they manipulated key metrics to advance their false narrative about a beleaguered business in urgent need of a lifeline. They deliberately kept investors in the dark about financial data that would have contradicted the official story, the suit says.
