Democratic lawmakers, led by Senator Elizabeth Warren, urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to finalize a climate disclosure rule without further delay, according to a letter to SEC Chair Gary Gensler.

  • Rule would require public companies to disclose details about their emissions and climate-related risks
    • “We therefore urge you to reconsider your efforts to scale back the proposed rule and issue a strong climate risk disclosure rule as quickly as possible,” lawmakers say
