Democratic attorneys general from Massachusetts, New York and 16 other states, plus the District of Columbia, on Monday got the go ahead to start defending the SEC’s climate disclosure regulations in court, after the Eighth Circuit let them enter the litigation.
The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit approved a bid by the Democrats to intervene in the litigation over Securities and Exchange Commission requirements for companies to report their greenhouse gas emissions and disclose climate-related risks to their business.
