Crypto’s OKX Formally Unveils Australia Spot, Derivatives Units

Major crypto exchange OKX on Tuesday highlighted a shift to providing spot and derivatives trading in Australia via locally incorporated entities, part of efforts to comply with regulatory requirements.

  • OKX Australia Pty is registered with financial crimes regulator Austrac and offers OTC spot trading services, according to a company statement
  • Wholesale clients can trade futures, options and perpetual swaps via OKX Australia Financial Pty, which is licensed by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission as well as Austrac registered
  • OKX said it opened an office in Sydney in May 2023 and plans to “further invest in the Australian crypto ecosystem” ...
