CPA Professional Group’s Former CEO Joins Baker Tilly as Adviser

The former longtime CEO of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has joined Baker Tilly’s US and global operations, the top 10 accounting firm announced.

Barry Melancon, who led the AICPA for nearly three decades starting at age 37, was appointed as an adviser to Baker Tilly US and non-executive director and chair-elect of the Baker Tilly International board of directors, the firm said in a statement Monday. The appointments were effective Jan. 29.
