Contractor Labor Agreements, Software Inventory Bills Advance

Bills affecting contractor labor agreements and federal software acquisitions advanced out of the House Oversight Committee Tuesday.

The committee approved H.R. 1209, the Fair and Open Competition Act and H.R. 1695, the Strengthening Agency Management and Oversight of Software Assets Act.

Both measures would impact vendors’ ability to provide services or sell products to federal agencies in areas that see a flood of awards from the government every year.
