Conduent Calls Navient Student Loan Lawsuit a Negotiating Ploy

Conduent Education Services LLC fired back July 1 at Navient Solutions LLC’s lawsuit accusing it of leaving thousands of borrowers in the lurch when it abruptly exited the student loan servicing business.

The suit, filed in May, seeks an order from Delaware’s Chancery Court blocking CES from “archiving” its loan servicing system and requiring CES to turn over documents Navient needs. CES has failed to cooperate with Navient’s attempts to wind down its loan business cleanly, according to the suit.
