Companies Plan to Meet EU Sustainability Rules Despite Data Woes

Almost two-thirds of companies are confident they will be ready to follow new European sustainability reporting rules despite signs that many are behind on preparations, according to a PwC survey.

The Big Four accounting, tax, and consulting firm questioned more than 500 companies worldwide from April to May—more than half of them in the European Union—to find out how prepared they are for the EU rules. The requirements, which kick in this year for big companies, cover reporting on issues ranging from climate to biodiversity.
