Comcast Sues Apollo Affiliate, Says Breach Will Risk Lives (2)

An Apollo Global Management Inc. affiliate is planning to endanger the lives of hospital patients, first responders, and 911 callers by cutting off its emergency voice contract with Comcast Corp. over a business dispute, according to an unsealed lawsuit.

A Comcast unit is suing CX360 Inc. over claims it’s retaliating against the telecom giant—for switching contractors—by announcing it will terminate their service agreement Oct. 31 instead of letting it expire Feb. 28. The automated phone menu operator is a subsidiary of Apollo portfolio company West Technology Group LLC. Apollo isn’t directly accused of any wrongdoing.
