Comcast’s $50 million settlement with a narrowed class of Philadelphia-area cable TV subscribers alleging antitrust violations wins preliminary approval, according to a Dec. 12 order from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (Glaberson v. Comcast Corp., E.D. Pa., 2:03-cv-06604-JP, 12/12/14).
Judge John R. Padova’s preliminary approval paves the way for an end to this market allocation and price fixing case that has been litigated largely on class certification matters.
