Citigroup Inc. urged a judge to dismiss a lawsuit that alleged its decision to waive ATM fees for customers of minority-owned banks amounted to racial discrimination.

“While Citibank’s ATMs require a user to enter his or her personal PIN, they do not ask any user to enter their race,” lawyers for the lender wrote in a motion filed late Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale.
